The SolPro Yorùbá Language Program is designed to help learners speak, read, and understand Yorùbá confidently, whether for cultural connection, travel, business, or personal enrichment.

From learning simple greetings to engaging in fluent conversations and understanding proverbs, idioms, and traditional expressions, this course takes you from absolute beginner to advanced-level proficiency.
No prior knowledge is required, just passion and openness to learn one of West Africa’s most expressive languages.
Admission Requirements
Educational Background
No degree or certificate required. Anyone with interest in the Yorùbá language can enrol.
Work Experience
Not required. All levels—from zero experience to heritage learners—are welcome.
Language Proficiency
The program is delivered in English and Yorùbá, so basic English comprehension is needed for explanations.
Assessment
Only required for students joining intermediate or advanced levels directly.
A study kit will be provided to help you prepare.

Understanding and using proverbs (òwe)
Speaking with correct tonal marks and natural intonation
Reading short stories and simple Yorùbá texts
Introduction to Yorùbá grammar: tenses, pronouns, possessives
Audio practice with native speakers
Intermediate projects: storytelling, cultural dialogue sessions, short written exercises
Advanced Level – 3 Months
Fluency, Literacy & Cultural Expression
Mastering complex sentence structures
Engaging in fluent, spontaneous conversation

Reading newspapers, literature, and folktales in Yorùbá
Writing essays, short stories, and formal letters in Yorùbá
